Amid India-Pakistan tension, the team of Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals reached New Delhi by special Vande India train. About 300 people were traveling from this train. These included players, technical teams, media personnel and staff staff. BCCI transported this party from Dharamshala to Jalandhar railway station in about 40 to 50 small vehicles. From where special Vande Bharat train reached Safdarjung railway station in New Delhi.
BCCI thanked the Indian Railways by posting a video on Friday. In the 41 -second video, spinner Kuldeep Yadav was seen praising BCCI’s efforts and praising Indian Railways. The video also featured Punjab captain Shreyas Iyer and Faf du Plessis.
BCCI officials said- ‘In the current situation, there was uncertainty in the journey by road. Hence the special train was considered a safe option. The safety of all is his first priority. For this reason, this arrangement was made in collaboration with the state administration and railway department. For the first time in the history of IPL, the BCCI has arranged a special train for two teams and broadcasting teams.

In the morning, the entire team of both teams, including Punjab-Delhi players, coaching staff and broadcast personnel, were taken from Dharamshala to Hoshiarpur on the border of Punjab in about 40 to 50 small vehicles. The convoy provided security by the Kangra Police. After Hoshiarpur, the Punjab Police took over the security system.
