Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) captain Rajat Patidar and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) captain Pat Cummins have been fined for slow over-rate. The RCB and SRH were played on Friday (May 23) at the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow. RCB had the second slow over-rate of the season. Hence, captain Rajat Patidar was fined 24 lakhs. Earlier, on 7 April, the match played against Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium was also fined for slow over-rate. Apart from Rajat, other players involved in the team’s playing XI have been fined 6 lakhs or 25 percent of the match fee. However, after the return of a silver injury in the match against Hyderabad, the team was included as a batsman. Jitesh Sharma was captaining his place. Since he is a regular captain of the team, he was fined 24 lakhs.

On Level 1 crime, 25 to 75 percent fine of match fees and demerit points will be imposed. There will be 4 demerit points directly on the serious crime of Level 2. If 4 demerit points are deposited, the match referee can deduct the entire 100% match fee of captain or give additional demerit points.
