Union Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia has given a big statement regarding sports events with Pakistan. He said, we have no objection to playing any international sports event with Pakistan, whether it is cricket, hockey or any other game. But when it comes to bilateral sports events, everyone knows about the government’s stand. Explain that India has made it clear that no bilateral game will be included in the event with Pakistan, who shelters terror.

Hockey Asia Cup from 27 August Mandavia said, Pakistan Hockey Association has sought permission from its government to participate in two tournaments to be held in India. The Sports Minister said, “We will give him a visa for the Asia Cup and Junior World Cup hockey tournament, but now it depends on his government whether he sends teams or not.” The Asia Cup is proposed to be held from 27 August to 7 September in Rajgir, Bihar.

181 hockey matches have been played between India and Pakistan. Pakistan has won in 82 and India in 67. Drew 32 matches.

Sports Governance Bill will be introduced in monsoon session Sports Minister Mansukh Mandavia said, the National Sports Governance Bill (National Sports Government Bill) will be introduced in the monsoon session of Parliament starting from July 21. Under this bill, a regulatory board will be formed which will have the right to recognize and provide funding to the National Sports Federations (NSF). The board will also ensure that the Sports Federation follow the highest administrative, financial and moral standards.

Asia Cup provides direct entry in World Cup There will be a Hockey World Cup in Amsterdam, Netherlands from 14 to 30 August next year. The team winning the Asia Cup gets a direct entry in the World Cup. 5 -time champion South Korea is the defending champion in the Asia Cup. At the same time, India and Pakistan are waiting for their fourth title.

Apart from India and Pakistan, Japan, Korea, China, Malaysia, Oman and Chinese Taipei will also participate in the Hockey Asia Cup. 4-4 teams will be divided into 2 groups. The semi-finals between 2-2 top teams of both the groups and the winning teams will be final on 7 September.
