The Indian cricket team on Friday started preparations for the T20 Asia Cup 2025 at the ICC Academy in Dubai with their first practice session. The team, led by captain Suryakumar Yadav, will land with the intention of winning their second T20 title in the tournament of this eight countries. The tournament will start from 9 September.
Legendary players appeared in the practice session In a video posted on social media by cricket website ESPN Crick Info, many players including captain Suryakumar Yadav, head coach Gautam Gambhir, all -rounder Hardik Pandya, Sanju Samson, Tilak Verma, bowling coach Morne Morkel, spin pair Varun Chakraborty and Kuldeep Yadav, Rinku Singh, were seen to practice in the ICC academy. During the practice, wicketkeeper-batsman Sanju Samson and veteran fast bowler Jaspreet Bumrah were also seen talking among themselves.
First big tournament after a long break After the last Test series against England, the Indian team is participating in this big tournament after a break of about a month. This is India’s first major tournament in T20 format. The team management did not organize any preparation camp at the BCCI Center of Excellence and instead gave the players a chance to reach Dubai early in Dubai.
Bumrah’s return to T20 format Bumrah is returning to the T20 format. He last played in Bridgetown in the 2024 T20 World Cup final, where his 2/18 spectacular performance won India by seven runs against South Africa. Bumrah was adjudged Player of the Series with 15 wickets in that tournament. Bumrah, who faced criticisms after missing two Tests in the domestic Test series against England earlier this year, has returned to the team after a 40 -day break. During the practice, he was seen having a light conversation with Abhishek Sharma.

BCCI has increased the rate of jersey sponsorship of the Indian cricket team. According to the new rates, the board will take Rs 3.5 crore per match for the series for the series. Whereas Multilateral (ICC, Asia Cup and Tri -Series) will take Rs 1.5 crore per match for the tournament. Earlier this rate was 3.17 and 1.12 crores respectively. Full news
