The Indian Women’s team will play in the ODI tri-series in April-May in Sri Lanka before the ODI World Cup.
The Sri Lanka Cricket Board announced it on Thursday. Apart from Sri Lanka and Team India, the third team will be from South Africa. The ODI World Cup is to be held in India in October.
All three teams will clash with each other two times Each team will play with other teams twice i.e. one team will play four matches. The first two places teams will play the finals. The series will begin with the competition between hosts Sri Lanka and India. All these matches will be played during the day, which will be played from 27 April to 11 May at the R Premdasa Stadium in Colombo.
Sri Lanka team on New Zealand tour Sri Lanka is currently on a white-ball tour in New Zealand, while most of India’s players are participating in WPL at home. Some South African players are also in WPL. Until the announcement of this tri -series, the next international tour of South Africa was a tour of West Indies in June.
Sri Lanka Asia Cup Champion Sri Lanka is currently the Asia Cup Champion. India defeated India in the final. South Africa reached the semi -finals of the previous ODI World Cup, which excluded India at the league stages. However, India ranks third in the ICC ODI rankings. While South Africa ranks fourth and Sri Lanka at seventh place.
