Sports complex is being prepared in Ahmedabad to host the Commonwealth Games.
India can host the Commonwealth Games-2030. Games will be held in Gujarat. India has bid for this. The PTI has claimed this by quoting sources in the Union Sports Ministry.
According to the report, the last date for the expression of interest summit for hosting is 31 March. The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has sent a letter a few days ago. The source told the news agency- ‘This is true. The IOA and the Government of Gujarat have bidden on behalf of India.
If India hosts, then the second time in India will host these games. Earlier, the 2010 CWG was hosted, then the matches were held in New Delhi.
India has organized the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.
Last year was claimed for 2036 Olympics Apart from CWG, India is also preparing to host the 2036 Olympic Games. In November last year, India submitted a claim to host the Olympic Games-2036.
The Olympic hosts of 2032 have been fixed. The 2032 host is given to the city of Brisbane in Australia. While the 2028 Olympic Los Angeles is to be held.
India has also done 2 Asians India has so far hosted 3 multi sports games. These include the Asian Games of the Commonwealth Games in 2010, 1982 and 1951.
