Sports complex is being prepared in Ahmedabad to host the Commonwealth Games.
India has officially bid for hosting the Commonwealth Games 2030. On Friday, Sports Minister Harsh Sanghvi, Government of Gujarat in London, presented the proposal to the Commonwealth Sports. He said that Ahmedabad has been selected as host city. The special thing is that in 2030 there will also be the 100th anniversary of the Commonwealth Games.
On this occasion, Harsh Sanghvi said,
The bid was introduced on August 29 because National Sports Day is celebrated in India on this day. This day is celebrated in honor of sports as a hockey magician Major Dhyanchand’s birth anniversary.
He further said, Ahmedabad will host the games on compact city model, that is, the system of sports, training facilities and players will be close to each other. This will give better experience to players, officials and spectators.
India’s vision Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam Harsh Sanghvi said-
India’s vision is Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam and guest Devo Bhava. There will be special emphasis on environmental protection, and safety of human rights in organizing sports.
On this occasion, Indian High Commissioner Vikram Doraiswami in Britain said, “This dialect will strengthen India to make India a major sports nation.” According to him, big sports events play an important role not only for the players, but also for the development of infrastructure and international cooperation.
Cabint approved on 27 August On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet approved the Commonwealth Bidding Proposal. Earlier on August 14, it was approved by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA). In late November, it will be decided whether India will get host or not.
The possibility of India hosting 2030 Commonwealth Games has increased after Canada was out of the race. Last month, a team visited the venue in Ahmedabad in the leadership of Commonwealth Sport Director Darren Hall.
Also held a meeting with Gujarat government officials. The Commonwealth Sport is an institution that decides to host a country.
India has organized the Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.

- The city (country), willing to host games, has to apply to the Commonwealth Sport.
- After this, the National Olympic Committee of that country approves the proposal.
- Final bidding has to be done after getting approval from the country’s government.
- Commonwealth Sport officials inspect Host City and Venue.
- After inspecting all the contenders, the General Assembly of the Commonwealth Sport declares the name of the final host.
Last year was claimed for 2036 Olympics India is also preparing for hosting 2036 Olympic Games. In November last year, India submitted a claim to host it.
The Olympic hosts of 2032 have been fixed. The 2032 host is given to the city of Brisbane in Australia. While the 2028 Olympic Los Angeles is to be held.
India has also done 2 Asian Games India has so far hosted 3 multi sports games. These include the Asian Games of 1951 and 1982 and the 2010 Commonwealth Games. There were Commonwealth Games in Delhi in 2010.
