Shubman Gill, vice -captain of Team India, has rejected the discussions of Rohit Sharma’s retirement. Some reports claimed that Rohit Sharma could announce the retirement of the final match of the Champions Trophy.
Before the Champions Trophy final, Gill said on the question of Rohit’s retirement- ‘There has been no such discussion in the team yet. I think Rohit Bhai must not be thinking on it yet. His focus is on tomorrow’s match. He will decide after the match. Gill was asked whether Rohit had talked to the players with the retirement.
The final match of the Champions Trophy will be played between India and New Zealand on Sunday, March 9.
India has entered the finals by defeating Australia and New Zealand by defeating South Africa.
