Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee has announced the addition of two new paper combinations for GATE i.e. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2025. Candidates who had previously taken one paper can now add the second combination paper through the new process from November 14 to November 20, 2024. This time this exam will be for 30 test papers.
Candidates who have registered for GATE 2025 can check the official website of IIT Roorkee, iitr.ac.in, for information about the new combination.
Registered candidates have to choose only one subject combination
Candidates who have already selected two papers can now change only their second paper. Candidates who wish to add another paper to the existing two paper combination given on the website can add a new paper with penalty fees and basic charges.
IIT Roorkee will conduct the GATE 2025 exam on February 1, 2, 15 and 16. Its admit cards may be released in January.
On the official website of GATE 2025, codes for other papers are given as per the choice of the candidates. This combination was announced during the application itself.
These test papers will be in English. Candidates who select the option of giving two test papers will have the primary option of test paper.
Registration started from 28th August
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee had changed the registration date for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025. GATE registration was earlier scheduled to start from 24th August but then this registration started after 4 days i.e. from 28th August. Apart from the date of registration, there has been no change in all other dates.
Registrations were sought for GATE 2025 till 26th September The application windows were open from 28 August to 26 September. Candidates wishing to apply after September 26 had to pay late fees. The date for depositing fees and late fees was fixed as October 7. GATE 2025 exam will be held on 1, 2, 15 and 16 February 2025.
GATE 2025 Registration Qualification Apart from India, candidates from Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Nepal, Singapore, Sri Lanka and United Arab Emirates will be eligible for GATE exam. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech and PhD programs must have a graduation degree in engineering or a related post graduation degree. There is no age bar for the candidates, but they have to complete the course in at least three years.
