The case is around 11:30 am on Tuesday morning. Both sides have registered a case against each other at Karvad police station. Thanadikari Lekhraj Siyag said- Associate Professor Deepak Kumar Arora of Chemical Engineering Department has been arrested.

Abuse and assault during the meeting In IIT Jodhpur, Acting Registrar Ankur Gupta has filed a case against Associate Professor Dr. Deepak Kumar Arora (47) to attack Director Dr. Avinash Kumar Aggarwal and caste abuse to an employee.
The FIR reported- The incident is on September 2 at 11:30 am, the second floor of Chanakya Western Administrative Section of IIT Jodhpur. During the departmental meeting, Dr. Deepak Arora abused Dr. Avinash Kumar Aggarwal.
When the director held both hands of Deepak Arora in his defense, he kicked him. The attack hurt him (director) right leg. Dr. Arora surrounded the director so that he could not get out of the office.
When the staff of the director office came to rescue, Dr. Arora also assaulted the employee Vivek Gautam. He abused him caste. Vivek Gautam and his family threatened to end. Vivek has suffered an injury to his right hand.
During this period, Dr. Parag Deshpande, Head of Department of Chemical Engineering and Dean Faculty Affairs Dr. Neeraj Jain were also present. The FIR has been accused of assault, obstructing Rajkarya, abusing caste words.
Medical examination of victims got Karvad Thanadikari Lekhraj Siyag lodged an FIR based on the report. Medical examination of the victims was conducted. According to sources, treatment was done when IIT director had a hair line fracture in his leg.

Allegations- Director said ‘IIT is a burden on Jodhpur’ According to Dr. Arora’s report- On September 2, a meeting was held in the Director Office between 11:45 am to 12:30 am. In this, Director Prof. Apart from Avinash Aggarwal, there was a head of department and a dean.
In this meeting, the director first discussed about the first joining date etc. But within a few minutes, he insulted Dr. Arora in front of two professors and made comments like ‘IIT Jodhpur’ and they should leave the institute ‘.
When he opposed the directors of the director and said that he is ‘saying very wrong things’ and ‘Academic leader is constantly making frightening comments making fears in the professors and employees community’. So the directors became furious.
According to the complaint, the director stood in his chair and attacked Dr. Arora with a fatal attack, causing scratches in his neck. It is alleged that the director tried to kill him and when Dr. Arora tried to defend herself, the director slipped and fell down.

Employees attacked together Dr. Arora alleges that after this many employees and chief officers came there and attacked along with the director. The number of attackers was around 12, including a young employee, a chief officer and some security guards.
According to the allegation, all of them together threatened and pushed Dr. Arora. The complaint stated that he was alone there and was collectively assaulted. In such a situation, Dr. Arora has accused it of pre -planned conspiracy.

In this, he alleged that the faculty member Dr. Deepak Kumar Arora has been an angry behavior earlier, which was given the opportunity to improve many times. The IIT director said- the attack has broken my leg bone. Plaster is offered. Not only this, the professor is also accused of abusive language, caste abuses and threatening to kill the family towards a Dalit office employee.
According to the director, Dr. Arora also continued indecent behavior in the hospital and police station and made unnecessary delay in registering the FIR. Which was recorded several hours after the incident at around 7:30 pm. Professor Aggarwal said that complete accountability is necessary for research, teaching and professional conduct in the institute. There is no place of violence, fear or humiliation in the IIT system.
