Sukanya Sonowal of IIT Guwahati’s final year has been made a member of the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth Youth Peace Ambassador Network, Cypan. She will work as a lead of communication and public relations for the term of 2025 to 2027.
Sukanya selected from 56 Commonwealth countries
Cypan is a youth-led initiative that works to control peace and violent extremism in 56 Commonwealth countries through dialogue, community service and Outrich. Sukanya has been selected from the youth of these 56 Commonwealth countries.
For this, there is a three -step selection process which was crossed by Sukanya. In this process, commitments for piecebuilding of candidates, knowledge of Commonwealth Values and Leadership Experience are tested.
Also participated in many Outrach programs while studying
Sukanya also participated in many Outrich programs while studying in IIT Guwahati. He is the co-founder of Stemvibe. Through this, stem education is promoted and more than 3 thousand students have reached this platform.
She also leads the Integral Cup. This is a mathematics competition, before which around 2500 students of the top Indian colleges have participated in the edition. His experience of creating partnerships with large communication projects, Opter, Cube Research and Technologies and Jane Street proved to be important for his selection.
