Pakistan is scheduled to host the Champions Trophy in February 2025.

The International Cricket Council has refused Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to conduct the Champions Trophy tour in Pakistan Occupied Kashmir after BCCI’s objection.

News agency IANS has made this claim quoting a report. No official statement has come yet from PCB on this matter.

An ICC official told Dainik Bhaskar that the plan for the Champions Trophy tour is issued by ICC only. In such a situation, there is no question of denying or accepting anything regarding the trophy tour. Right now we are discussing the schedule of the trophy tour.

A source told news agency ANI, BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has expressed objection to PCB’s announcement of holding the Champions Trophy tour in PoK. Shah has taken up the matter with the ICC. He said that there should be no political interference in this matter. ICC should take action regarding this.

Earlier, PCB had shared a post on its social media handle on Thursday regarding the trophy tour. PCB wrote, ‘The tour will start from Islamabad on 16th November. After this, it will also go to Skardu, Hunza and Muzaffarabad in PoK, passing through many cities.
