  • The scheme provides to register people of Indian origin as Overseas Citizen of India, provided they are citizens of India on or after 26 January 1950.
  • Its purpose is to not allow Indian origin residents to face any inconvenience during travel or stay in India.

1. Fresh Law Graduates will not be able to give ‘Judicial Service Exams’

Now fresh law graduates will not be able to join ‘Judicial Service Exams’. On May 20, the Supreme Court gave the order in a case. According to the court order, the candidates applying for entry level posts will be mandatory for at least 3 years advocacy experience.

The Supreme Court pronounced this order during the hearing of a petition filed by the All India Judges Association. Chief Justice B. R. A bench of Gawai and Justice Augustine George Christ said that the court room expires is very important for the posts of Judicial Level.

The bench said, “It has been observed in many high courts that the appointments of fresh law graduates have created difficulties. Practical experience is very important to maintain Judicial Efficiency.

2. CUET UG Accountancy Question Paper Pattern amended

The National Testing Agency i.e. NTA has amended the pattern of the Question Paper of the Accountancy Test for Common University Entrance Test undergraduate (CUET UG) 2025.

According to the revised pattern, the accountancy paper will now have the option to select students between Unit 5 questions or optional questions for Unit 5. The rest of the question paper has not been amended or changed.

This revised question paper pattern will be implemented in the examination to be held from May 22. At the same time, the Cuet UG exam starts from 13 May, which will run till June 3.
