Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty have reached the finals of the Men’s doubles of the Hong Kong Open Badminton Tournament. The Indian pair defeated the pair of Chinese Taipei’s Chenng Kuan and Lynn Bing-Vai in the semi-finals on Saturday.
In the first game, Satvik-Chirag defeated the Chinese Taipei pair 21–17 and the second game 21-15.
Malaysian pair defeated in quarter -finals The Indian pair defeated the Malaysia pair Junaidi Arif and Roy King Yap in a three -game match in the quarter -finals. In the first game, he easily defeated the Malaysian pair 21–14. But in the second game he missed a bit and lost 20-22, leading to the score 1–1. Then the Indian pair made a great comeback in the third and decisive game.
He won 21–16 and confirmed his place in the tournament semi-finals. The match lasted for more than an hour.

Lakshya Sen reaches semi -finals Lakshya Sen defeated his own fellow player Ayush Shetty in a tough match and entered the semi -finals of Mains Singles of the tournament. The world’s number-20 player Lakshya defeated Ayush Shetty, ranked 31st in the ranking, 21-16, 17-21, 21-13 to 1 hour 6 minutes.
The match was exciting with the first game. Lakshya took an 11–10 lead over the interval and then increased its pace. He showed a great control on the net and did not give Ayush any chance, winning the first game 21-16.
Ayush Shetty made a tremendous comeback in the second game. He was trailing 15–11, but won 10 out of the next 12 points and took the score 21–17 to take the match to the third game.
In the third and decisive game, Ayush dominated after interval. Lakshya finished the match 21–13 with his strong defense and the best game on the net.
This is the second semi -final of the target this year. He also reached here in the Macau Open in August. Now he will face Taiwan’s Chow Tien Chain in the semi -finals. Earlier, Lakshya Sen defeated HS Prannoy 15–21, 21–18, 21-10.
