It is being claimed in the media reports that changes have been made in the CBSE syllabus which is absolutely wrong. There has been no change in the syllabus of CBSE Board 10th and 12th. On November 14, the CBSE Board issued a notice in which it was clarified that no changes have been made in the exam process and evaluation system i.e. Internal Assessment System. Nor has any official notification been issued for this.
Talk of changing syllabus in media reports
It was claimed in many media reports on Thursday that CBSE has made changes in the syllabus of classes 10th and 12th. It was also being claimed that the syllabus had been reduced by 15%. But no such change has taken place. CBSE Board issued a notification calling all such claims false and said that such news should be verified before believing it.
Wrote in media reports…
‘CBSE is going to take important decisions for class 10th and 12th board examinations from this year i.e. 2025 academic year. This year CBSE will cut the syllabus of class 10th and 12th.
It is written in these reports that the board will cut the syllabus by 10 to 15 percent to reduce the study pressure on students. The purpose of this reduction is to make students focus more on important concepts and promote better understanding instead of cramming.
Although no information has been given regarding reducing some lessons from the books, it is being said that the syllabus will definitely be reduced.
News of change in syllabus came in July also
Earlier in July 2024, the CBSE Board had made it clear that only the syllabus of classes 3 and 6 has been changed for the academic session 2024-25.
Apart from this, no changes have been made in the curriculum of any other class. In all other classes only old text books will be used. CBSE said that neither we have changed the curriculum nor any change has been made in the text book of any other class.
