Chennai Super Kings captain MS Dhoni has said that he will take time before taking a decision on his retirement. Dhoni, 43, won CSK in his last match in IPL 2025 in Ahmedabad. In the post match press conference, Dhoni said that he will take some time for retirement decision and will decide in the coming few months whether he will play the next season or not.

After the match, when Dhoni was asked about his retirement, he said- ‘I have 4-5 months to decide. There is no hurry to do what to do. It takes 50% more hard work to keep the body fit every year.
He further said, ‘If the players start retiring on the basis of performance, then many will retire at the age of 22. It is important that you have how much hunger, how fit you are and how much can you contribute to the team, and do the team need you. I have enough time. I will go back to Ranchi, I have not gone home for a long time. I will enjoy some bike rides, then decide after 2-3 months. I am not saying that I will not play anymore and I am not saying that I will return.
