Boxer Pooja Bohra, who hails from Bhiwani, her family arrived in special Haryanvi traditional costumes designed by Monica Mann of Bahadurgarh. The men wore a dhoti-kurta, while the women were wearing kurta-daman and gotedy chunari.

Monica Mann, a resident of Bahadurgarh, a designer of Haryanvi Dras, said that Pooja’s husband Akash Singhmar wanted to surprise her. So he contacted me and ordered to get dress made for 11 men and 9 women on 6 September. On September 15, there was a program to return to Pooja’s home and the whole family reached the airport to welcome her to Haryanvi dress.
