3. Food Ministry launches ‘Anna Chakra’ portal: Union Food and Public Distribution Minister Pralhad Joshi launched the ‘Anna Chakra’ portal on December 5. Through this, supply of food items under the Public Distribution System (PDS) will be easier. This step is estimated to save the government Rs 250 crore every year.

6. Fadnavis becomes Chief Minister of Maharashtra for the third time: A new government was formed in Maharashtra 13 days after the assembly results on 5 December.
