National Testing Agency (NTA) has released a new update for JEE Mains candidates. According to this update, NTA is giving a chance to those candidates whose photo is not as per the criteria for correction.
These candidates can make changes in this photo till today i.e. 17th January. NTA has written in the notification that the correction window has been opened so that the form is not rejected.
Information given to candidates through SMS
According to the institute’s career counseling expert Amit Ahuja – NTA has informed those candidates whose photos are outside the criteria through e-mail or message.
Guidelines related to photograph
- Passport size photo should be between 10 KB to 300 KB.
- 80% of the face should be visible in the white background.
- The photograph file should be in JPG/JPEG format. The file name should be ‘Photograph’.
- Glasses should be in the photo only if they are compulsory.
- The photo should not be computer generated.
- Photo should not be attached.
The exam will be held between 22nd to 30th January
The country’s biggest engineering entrance examination, JEE Mains, will be held from January 22 to 30 in 11 computer-based shifts in 331 cities across the country and abroad.
BE-B.Tech exam will be held in 10 shifts between 22nd to 29th January and B.Arch exam will be held in one shift on 30th January. Advance city intimation slip has been issued for the candidates. Admit cards will be released three days before the examination.
More than 13 lakh candidates will be included
This year, maximum 13 lakh 95 thousand candidates have applied for JEE-Mains. NTA will release the admit card soon. Official website for new updates to the candidates jeemain.nta.nic.in It is advised to stay connected.

The Supreme Court today rejected the petition to increase the number of attempts for JEE Advanced exam from 2 to 3. The court said that the court will uphold the decision of the Joint Admission Board i.e. JAB.
