Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam have not been included in the 17 -member Pakistan team declared for the Asia Cup on Sunday.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced a 17 -member team for the Asia Cup starting in UAE from 9 September on Sunday and the triangular series (UAE and Afghanistan with Pakistan) held from 29 August to 7 September. In this announcement, a shocking decision was taken to exclude senior batsmen Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan, after which the selectors are getting strong criticism.

Command submitted to Salman Ali Aga, Fakhar Zaman returns The team includes senior fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Wasim and left -arm fast bowler Salman Mirza. Salman Ali Aga has been appointed as captain for the tri -series and Asia Cup.
At the same time, Fakhar Zaman has returned to the team by recovering from hamstring injury. He was hurt on the West Indies tour, but now he is fully fit and has been included in the team for both tournaments.
India-Pakistan compete in Asia Cup In the Asia Cup, India, Pakistan, Oman and UAE are placed in Group-A, while Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Hong Kong are in Group B. All teams will play one match against each other in the group stage.
India will face UAE on 10 September, Pakistan on 14 September and Oman on 19 September. If India and Pakistan reach the Super-4 stage, both teams will again face face to face on 21 September. The final of the tournament will be played on 28 September. If both teams are at the top of Super-4, then the third India-Pakistan match in the tournament is also possible.
