The demand for freshers in private jobs has increased between July to November 2024. During January to June 2024, this demand has increased by 4% compared to the last 6 months and has now reached 72%.
According to the Career Outlook Report 2024 by edtech platform TeamLease, job roles like full stack developer, data analyst, SEO executive, digital sales associate and UI/UX designer are most in demand.
The report claimed that-
- 72% companies want to hire freshers with 0 to 1 year experience.
- 66% companies want to hire candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience.
- Whereas 42% companies want to hire candidates with 6 to 10 years of experience.
- 3% companies want to hire candidates with 11 to 15 years of experience.
- Only 1% companies want to hire candidates with more than 15 years of experience.
These skills are necessary for top jobs –
- Data Engineer: This job requires skills like programming skills, database management.
- Digital Sales Executive: To become a digital sales executive, one must have sales techniques, customer relationship management and good communication skills.
- SEO Executive: For this job, one should have knowledge of keyword research, technical SEO knowledge and communication skills.
- Junior Development Operations Engineer: Must have knowledge of Linux fundamentals, cloud platforms and communications.
- Full Stack Developer: For this, one should have good knowledge of programming language, web development, database management.
- Network Systems Analyst: Apart from network fundamentals, one should have customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Data Analyst: Data Analyst must have knowledge of skills like data visualization, statistical analysis and programming languages.
- Supply Chain Associate: To become a supply chain associate, one must have knowledge of customer service, communication and analytical skills.
- Microbiologist: For this, one should have knowledge of molecular biology, ability to do research and knowledge of laboratory techniques.
- Content Marketing AssistantFor this, apart from the ability of content creation, one should have marketing skills and social media management.
The report also claims that candidates with Bachelor’s degree are in highest demand. 64% companies want to employ them. At the same time, the hiring intention of companies for candidates with Post Graduate Diploma is 31%, for candidates with Masters Degree is 28% and for Doctoral Degree (PhD etc.) it is only 5%. Whereas only 10% companies want to hire those who have passed 12th.
