Every good thing ends Written in the post, wearing Indian jersey, singing the national anthem and performing your best on the field was an experience that cannot be described in words. But as it says, every good thing ends. I am grateful to heart and have decided to say goodbye to cricket from all formats.
I want to thank everyone Pujara wrote, I want to thank BCCI and Saurashtra Cricket Association for the opportunity and support in my cricket career. I am also grateful to all the teams, franchises and county teams that I have been able to represent in so many years. I could not reach here without the invaluable guidance of my gurus, trainers and spiritual gurus. I will always be indebted to him.
All my colleagues, collaborative staff, net bowler, analyst, logistics team, umpire, ground staff, scorers, thanks to the media personnel and all those who work tirelessly behind the curtains so that we can compete and play in this lovely game. For my sponsors, partners and management team, I have been thankful to me for years to take care of your loyalty and faith and activities outside my field.
I am eagerly waiting for the next stop This game has taken me all over the world and the fans have always been with me. Wherever I have played, I am overwhelmed by best wishes and inspiration and will always be grateful. Certainly all this could not be possible or meaningful without my family-my parents, my wife Pooja, my daughter Aditi’s countless sacrifice and unwavering support. I am eagerly waiting for the next stop of my life. Thank you for the love and support of all of you.

Wife Pooja wrote a book on Pujara: I cried a lot when I spoke to Bhaskar.
This was the occasion of the Australia Test series. Cheteshwar was in the stadium since morning. At the same time, I came to know from the wife of a cricketer that Cheteshwar has been dropped from the team. I called Cheteshwar’s aunt and his coach with a sad heart. Everyone became unhappy. Cheteshwar came into the room, but there was not even a line of grief on his face. When I said about the drop- he peacefully said that all this is out of our hands and there is no point in being unhappy for what is out of our hands.
