Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education (MPBSE) has taken a big decision regarding the board examinations of class 10th and 12th. According to the new rule, now the examination will be held twice and the supplementary examination will be abolished. These rules will be applicable from academic year 2024-25.

The model of two main examinations is already in Gujarat and Chhattisgarh. On the same lines, now it will be implemented in MP, that is, students who failed in the first examination will have a chance to take the second exam.

Board exams were to start from 24 February

MP board examinations were scheduled to begin on 24 February. This year 18 lakh students will appear in this examination. MPBSE has revised the class 10th and 12th board exams 2025 datesheet. According to MP Board Exam Revised Datsheet 2025, MP Board Class 10th exam will be between 27 February to 21 March 2025 and 12th will be between 25 February to 25 March.

After this, students will be given a second chance in July. The final result will be released on the basis of numbers in both examinations.

Now you will be able to give exams for many subjects simultaneously

In the MP Board, the supplementary examination has to be given if it fails in a subject. In the year 2024, 2.20 lakh students took the exam. At the same time, 5.60 students failed.

The second examination will replace the supplementary system. The final marksheet of the students will be prepared based on the good numbers of both exams.

Students who have failed will be able to give second exam

Earlier, students who failed in a subject could take supplementary examination. Now students who fail in one or more subjects can take the second main examination in July.

Students who failed earlier had the option to take the exam under the ‘Ruk Jaana Nahi’ program of the State Open Board. Now they can take another main exam for one or more subjects.

This decision has been taken under NEP 2020

This change has been taken according to the National Education Policy (NEP). Academic year 2024-25 will be done to prepare the final result. The decision to conduct the examination twice has been taken in the meeting of the Board of Secondary Education. It was approved in the general meeting of MPBSE and a proposal has been sent to the government. After this, work will be done soon.
