Vian Mulder became the player to score the fifth highest score in Test cricket.
South Africa defeated Zimbabwe by a big margin of innings and 236 runs in the second Test. On the third day of the match, Zimbabwe, playing follow on, could only score 220 runs. The team was all out at 170 in the first innings. South Africa scored 626 runs in the first innings with the help of captain Vian Mulder’s 367 runs.
South Africa won the first Test by 328 runs. With this, the Protiaz team won the series 2–0. South African captain Mulder received the Player of the Match and Player of the Series Award. Mulder scored 531 runs in 2 matches and also took 7 wickets.

Luhan de Pretorius, who came out to bat on number-5, then made a double century partnership with the Mulder. Pretorius was dismissed for 78 runs. From here, Dewald Brevis scored 30 runs to bring the team beyond 500.

Sean Williams was not out after scoring 83 runs from the team, the rest of the batter could not do anything special. Vesle Madhevere scored 25, captain Craig Irwin 17, Tanaka Chivanga 10, Tafdjwa Siga 12 and Nick Welsh 10 runs. The rest of the batter could not even touch the 10 -run figure.

Not too much runs scored in follow on South Africa followed Zimbabwe after a 456 -run lead. The team could only manage 220 runs in their second innings. Nick Welsh scored 55, captain Crag Irwin scored 49 and Takudjavanashe Kaitano scored 40 runs. In the lower order, Tanaka Chivanga scored 22 and Wellington Masakadja scored 17 runs. The rest of the batter could not even cross the 15 -run figure.
Corbin Bosch took 4 wickets in the second innings for South Africa. Senuran Muthusamy got 3 and Kodi Yusuf got 2-2 wickets. Vian Mulder also got 1 success in the second innings.

Now both teams will participate in the Tri -series After the end of the Test series, both teams will play the T20 tri-series in Zimbabwe from July 14. The third team of the series will be New Zealand. Against which the Zimbabwe Tri -series will play a 2 Test series.
