A total of 5 arrests have been made in betting on the Champions Trophy so far. Police investigation is going on.
The final match of the Champions Trophy will be between India and New Zealand in Dubai on Sunday. The match has been speculated up to ₹ 5,000 crore. According to sources, this betting is being done through international underworld networks. It is also feared that Dawood Ibrahim’s D Company joining.
India is the favorite team of international bookies. During every major match in Dubai, big bookies from all over the world gather. The Crime Branch of Delhi Police has arrested five big bookies before the final. They were all betting on the semi -final matches. The investigation has reached Dubai after questioning.
The first arrest was of two bookies named Parveen Kochhar and Sanjay Kumar. Both of them were caught red-handed betting on the India-Australia semi-finals. Police have seized laptops and phones from them.
The second arrest was also from Delhi. In this, three accused Manish Sahni, Yogesh Kukreja and Suraj were caught. All of them were associated with the bookie gang of Dubai. In this arrest, the police seized ₹ 22 lakh cash.
According to the police, Manish Sahni was the main operator of this gang. All transactions managed through bank accounts and cash. Without a middleman, the entire betting himself controlled.
The Crime Branch of Delhi Police arrested Parveen Kochhar and two bookies named Sanjay Kumar.
How did betting
- Parveen Kochhar bought a master ID from a betting website named Lucky.com.
- Making many small IDs from this ID and sold the pussy.
- 3% used to charge commission on every transaction.
- Used entry in calls and notes for offline betting.
- The ₹ 35,000 was running a betting business from a rented house for the last two years.
- Earned up to ₹ 40,000 on every match.
- During interrogation, the entire network is controlled from Dubai.
5 people developed ‘betting’ app outside India According to interrogation of the accused caught so far, 5 people developed the ‘Satta’ app outside India. Then online betting is done through this app. According to the arrested accused, this work was done by Mannu Matka, Akshay Gehlot, Nishu, Rinku, and Aman Rajput.
