The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) will create a memorial in memory of the fans who lost their lives in a stampede during the Victory Ceremony. Where the names of the most obsessive fans of RCB, their stories and things related to them will be preserved.
The franchise made this announcement on Monday in its 6 points manifesto. This initiative named RCB Cares said- ‘The franchise will no longer be limited to financial help, but will take concrete steps to keep the memory of the affected families and fans alive.’ 2 days ago, RCB announced financial assistance of Rs 25 lakh to every family of those who lost their lives in the accident.
After winning the IPL for the first time, RCB took out the Victory Parade in Bengaluru on 4 June. In this parade, 11 people were killed and more than 50 were injured due to a stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. All the people who lost their lives were under 35 years of age. The youngest victim was 13 -year -old Divyanshi. Among those who died were three teenager and six youth, who were between 20 and 30 years old.

Karnataka government blamed RCB
On July 17, RCB was held responsible for the accident in the Karnataka government’s investigation report. Virat Kohli was also mentioned in it. The report said that RCB did not take permission for the Victory Parade held at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. However, the government also said that the sudden cancellation of the event could have provoked violence and law and order in the city could have deteriorated.
