Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court on Monday to cancel the criminal case against them in the stampede at the Chinnaswamy Stadium. 11 people lost their lives and 75 were injured in the stampede. The case can be heard today.

RCB has argued that it has been falsely implicated in the case. It was clearly stated on social media that there are passes Limited. The gates of the stadium were about to open at 1:45 pm but opened at 3 pm, which increased the crowd.

Event organizer DNA Entertainment Networks Private Limited has also filed a separate petition challenging the FIR against them. The company says that the police could not handle the crowd. This caused stampede.

Claim- Police officer asked for extra force According to the Times of India report, DCP MN Karibasavana Gowda had written a letter to the state government before the Victory Parade on 4 June. He wrote- RCB’s fan following is across the country.

Resignation of Karnataka Cricket Association officials Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jairam have resigned. Both have taken the moral responsibility of a stampede during the Victory Celebration of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB).

KSCA said- The responsibility of handling the crowd was of the event management company The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered the arrest of officials after registering an FIR against KSCA, RCB and DNA Entertainment Network. Karnataka State Cricket Association President Raghuram Bhat, Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jairam demanded the cancellation of FIR against him in the stampede case.

On this, the Karnataka High Court had given relief to KSCA officials from the arrest till the next hearing on 16 June. KSCA had earlier said in its petition in the High Court that the RCB and event management company had the responsibility of managing the mob at the gate outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
