The statement said, “Due to unpredictable and unfortunate incidents in the last two days, we want to tell that we have resigned from our respective positions as KSCA Secretary and Treasurer. However, our role was very limited.
KSCA said- The responsibility of handling the crowd was of the event management company The Karnataka government on Thursday ordered the arrest of officials after registering an FIR against KSCA, RCB and DNA Entertainment Network. Cricket Association President Raghuram Bhat, Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jairam demanded the cancellation of FIR against him in the stampede case. After this, the Karnataka High Court gave relief to KSCA officials from the arrest till the next hearing on 16 June.
KSCA had earlier said in its petition in the High Court that the RCB and event management company had the responsibility of managing the mob at the gate outside the Chinnaswamy Stadium.
14 -day judicial custody to RCB’s marketing head Earlier, four officials of RCB and event management company were also arrested on Friday. The court has sent everyone to judicial custody for 14 days.
The Bengaluru police arrested RCB’s marketing head Nikhil Sosale on Friday. He is accused of posting the Victory Parade and Ceremony for free passes.

- Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his Political Secretary K.K. Govindraja dismissed. Hemant Nimbalkar, head of the information department, has been transferred.

- 25 -year -old Rolan Gomes injured in the stampede lodged an FIR against RCB, KSCA and DNA agency at Kabban Park Police Station.
- Social activist Snehamayi Krishna lodged a complaint against Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivkumar.
- The Bengaluru police arrested RCB’s senior marketing head Nikhil Sosale and 3 officials of the event management company- Kiran, Sumanth and Sunil Matthew.
- RCB’s marketing head Nikhil was arrested from Bangalore Airport while going to Dubai. He has challenged his arrest in the High Court. His petition will be heard on Monday.
- IPS officer Seemant Kumar took over as Bengaluru City Police Commissioner.
- The Bengaluru police arrested 4 officers of the RCB and the event management company. All have been sent to judicial custody for 14 days.
- Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) Secretary A Shankar and Treasurer ES Jairam resigned from the post of ES Jairam
