The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Friday invited applications for two posts of Mains Senior Cricket Team Selection Committee member. BCCI gave information about this by tweeting.
BCCI has invited applications for four posts for the Women’s Team Selection Committee and one post for Junior Mains. The last date for filling the application is 10 September.
S Sharat can be removed According to the report, BCCI has increased the contract of Chief Selector Ajit Agarkar. Currently, the Selection Committee includes Agarkar, SS Das, Subroto Banerjee, Ajay Ratra and S Sharat. But it is believed that after the Annual Journal Body Meeting to be held in September, there will be some changes in the Senior Selection Committee. Sharat was the chairman of the Junior Selection Committee in September 2021 and was promoted in the Senior Selection Committee in January 2023. According to the report, the board can appoint a new face in their place.
Ajit Agarkar was made the chairman of the Selection Committee of Team India in July 2023.
Mains Senior Selection Committee- This qualification is necessary to apply
- You have played 7 Test matches.
- Have played 30 first class matches.
- Or experience 10 ODIs and 20 first class matches.
- The retirement of the applying player has passed at least five years.
Women’s Selection Committee- This qualification is necessary to apply
- Former players who have represented the Indian Women’s National Team.
- The retirement has passed at least five years.
- No BCCI’s Cricket Committee has a member for 5 years.
Junior Men’s Selection Committee- This qualification is necessary to apply
- Have played at least 25 first class matches.
- Have retired from the game at least 5 years ago.
- No BCCI’s Cricket Committee has a member for 5 years.
