- BCCI 10 GUIDELINES FOR INDIAN PLAYERS; Travel Rules, Family, Foreign Tour Virat Kohli Rohit Sharma Gautam Gambhir

After reports of discord in the dressing room of the Indian team during the Australia tour, BCCI has issued guidelines for the players. So that discipline and unity is maintained in the team.
In the guidelines issued on Thursday night, the board has announced a ban on the presence of personal staff and players’ families. According to this, players will not be able to do personal photoshoots or advertisements during the series or tour. Not only this, it has also been made mandatory for the players to play domestic tournaments.

Know BCCI’s guidelines in 10 points…
1. It will be necessary to play domestic cricket It has been made mandatory for the players of the Indian team to play in the domestic tournament. Not only this, the performance of the domestic tournament will be considered the basis for the selection of the team.
If a player does not play domestic cricket for any reason, then this information will have to be informed to the board. Also, permission will have to be taken from the Chairman of the Selection Committee.
2. Will not be able to travel with family Players will not be able to travel with family and wives during the entire tour. This rule will work more especially on foreign tours, so that the performance of the players is not affected. For tours of less than 45 days, families and wives will be able to stay together for 7 days. If a player has to travel with family or separately, permission will have to be taken from the head coach and chairman of the selection committee.

3. Will not be able to carry much luggage Players will not be able to carry much luggage in the tour. If the player’s luggage weighs more, he will have to pay for it himself. The board has also issued separate guidelines for weight and luggage. Luggage policy in 3 points…
- Long tour (more than 30 days) players: Up to 5 pieces (3 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 150 kg. Support Staff : Up to 2 pieces (2 large + 1 small suitcase) or 80 kg. ,
- Short tour (less than 30 days) players: Up to 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 120 kg. Support Staff: Up to 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or 60 kg.
- home series Player: Up to 4 pieces (2 suitcases + 2 kit bags) or 120 kg. Support Staff: Up to 2 pieces (2 suitcases) or 60 kg.
4. Sending goods separately to the Center of Excellence All players will have to contact the team management to send luggage or personal effects to the Center of Excellence in Bengaluru. If an item is sent in different ways. Then the extra cost will have to be borne by the player.
5. There will be no personal staff in any tour or series The player’s personal staff (such as personal manager, chef, assistants and security) will not go to any series or tour. Unless permission is obtained from the board for this.

6. It is mandatory to be present in the practice session. Now every player will have to be present in the practice session. No one will leave the practice session early. During a series or tournament, one will have to travel with the team from one venue to another by bus. The board has made this rule for bonding among the players.
7. No player will be able to advertise No player will be allowed to shoot personally in the series and tour. During this period no player will be able to advertise. The board has taken this decision so that the players do not get distracted.
8. Family does not get much time on foreign tour If a player stays on a foreign tour for 45 days, his wife and child below 18 years of age can stay with him for 2 weeks in a series. During this period, BCCI will bear the expenses of his stay, but the rest of the expenses will have to be borne by the player.
On the other hand, anyone (family or otherwise) can come to the player on a final date only after discussion with the coach and captain. During this time, if any player breaks the rules then the coach, captain and GM operations will be responsible for it. The player himself will bear the expenses after the deadline.

9. Will have to participate in official shoots and functions Every player will have to participate in BCCI’s official shoots, promotions and any other programs. This decision has been taken to promote sports and for the benefit of the stakeholders.
10. Players will not be able to come home early after the series ends Every player will have to stay with the team till the end of the tour. The player will have to stay with the team even if the series ends early. Every player will return with the team on the scheduled date. During this period no player will be able to go home early. This decision has been taken for team bonding.
Warning of strict action if guidelines are not followed The board has instructed all the players to strictly follow the guidelines. Not only this, a warning has also been given of disciplinary action if the rules are not followed. If a player is not able to follow any of these instructions, he will have to take permission from the chairman of the selection committee and the head coach.
If a player breaks the rules, the board will not allow him to play in tournaments, series and even IPL. Apart from this, the board can also end the salaries and contracts of the players.
