Cameron Green has played 28 Tests for Australia.
Cricket Australia (CA) has announced the Australia team for the World Test Championship Final. The team will play the final against South Africa at the Lord’s ground in England from 11 to 15 June.
All -rounder Cameron Green has returned to the team. Green last played the Test in March 2024 before a back injury. The 15 -member team will command fast bowler Pat Cummins. In the third final of WTC, the Australian team will go down to defend their title.
Sam Constas and Josh Hazlewood also got space
Young Sam Constas, who made her debut against India in the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, has also got a place in the final team. Apart from this, Brendon Dogate has got a place in the team as a traveling reserve. Brendon was the Player of the Match in the Sheffield Shield final.
Australia is the number-1 Test team in the ICC rankings.
Cummins-Hazlewood returns from IPL
In the Test team, captain Pat Cummins and fellow fast bowler Josh Hazlewood are also making a comeback. Both players missed the Champions Trophy due to injury and later returned to IPL 2025. However, Hazlewood could not play the previous match for his franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore due to a shoulder injury. The league was later suspended due to Indo-Pak tension. Now he is difficult to play in the next match.
