Elina Svitolina won in women’s singles In the women’s category, Ukraine’s 28th seed Elina Svitolina defeated Russia’s Veronika Kudermetova 6-4, 6-1 after trailing 1-4. She has reached the Australian Open quarterfinals for the third time. Svitolina will now face 19th-ranked American Madison Keys.
