Saurabh and Suruchi scored a total of 578 points in the qualification round and qualified for the medal round by finishing fifth.
India’s Saurabh Chaudhary and Suruchi Inder Singh won the bronze medal at the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the ongoing Asian Shooting Championships in Shyamkant city of Kazakhstan. The pair achieved this feat by defeating Chinese Taipei’s team 17-9. Earlier on Tuesday, India’s star shooter and two -time Olympic medalist Manu Bhaker won the bronze medal in the women’s 10 meter air pistol.
Finished fifth in the qualification round Saurabh and Suruchi scored a total of 578 points in the qualification round and qualified for the medal round by finishing fifth. Suruchi performed brilliantly and scored 100 points in the first series. Although his score in the second series was 94, he returned to 98 points in the third series. On the other hand, Saurabh scored 95, 96 and 95 marks respectively in the three series. The two together made it to the medal round of eight teams with 578 points in the qualification round.
Manu along with Suruchi Singh and Palak Gulia also got India bronze at the team event.

Defeated Chinese Taipei pair In the medal round, Saurabh and Suruchi defeated Chinese Taipei’s Liu Heng-U and Hasiah Hasiang-Charen’s pair 17–9 to win the bronze medal. With this victory, India made a strong presence in the Asian Shooting Championships.
