Coach gave free training, also gave his flat to live Aniket came to me in 2010. Initially it was not so special, but later went on to shine. My special focus was on him, because he was obsessed with cricket and was from a poor house.
So I did not charge him. My academy did not have that much facilities. I sent him to Jyoti Bhai for training at Ankur Academy. He also trained him for free.
At one time there was no house to live in Bhopal. His landlord evacuated the house. In such a situation, on the request of Aniket’s uncle, he gave his flat to stay and did not even take the rent. He stayed in my flat for 3 years.
Aniket’s answers on Bhaskar’s questions …
Question: For the first time IPL is going to play. What is going on in the mind, there is any pressure or excitement? – I am quite excited right now. You will get to learn a lot of things. This is my beginning. I have to go up from here. There is a lot to learn from big players there. Opportunities are to be seen and they have to be redeemed. I will insist on improving myself.
Question: All players are big in IPL. What will you ask for a special name that you want to meet? – I want to meet Hardik Pandya. I will talk to them on fitness, bat flow and their hitting ability. Apart from him, I would like to learn on the rhise flick shot from Kohli, Bridge from Rohit, Flick short from Pant. At the same time, I will talk to Dhoni on Pesternity and Commerce. I would like to ask Bumrah how they read the batsman. He specializes in this art.
Question- Tell us about your initial training. Have you heard you got free training? Yes, my family background was not as strong. First of all I went to Railway Youth Cricket Club. There Nandjit sir taught me basic. After that Jyotiprakash Tyagi sir improved my batting in Ankur. Now I train at Faith Cricket Club.
Question: No success is easy. You have also seen a lot of ups and downs. If something wanted to share with us? – I did not face so much struggle, because Chachu (uncle) was always with me. Whenever I needed anything, I used to tell them and they used to bring them from anywhere. I think the real struggle has been his. Those financely were not as strong. Despite this, he did not let me feel the lack of anything. They could not fulfill their needs themselves, but used to fulfill me.
Question- You are missing such an anecdote? I still remember that I did not have a call and I had to go to play the division match of Under-14. Then Chachu borrowed from a friend and got me an Android phone and used to run a k-pad phone himself.
Question- The previous season of MP Premier League proved to be the turning point of your career. Tell me about the innings that gave this opportunity? – I thank God. I took some time, then a big over of a spin came. After that I went on to carry on the innings. In that match, everyone told me that you have tight in this match, you can play well with time.
Question- What was going on in your mind during the mega auction? After the MP League, many franchises called me for trial. But I had some hope from Hyderabad, because my Hyderabad trial went well. But, when my name came in the mega auction, I was very nervous, because the names were being scored. When 324 came, my beating was increasing. Then I was playing Bapuna Cup in Nagpur. The entire team of the board was together.
Question- 30 lakhs … expected was a little more or a chance, because IPL opens the doors of Team India? – I wanted a chance. Getting a chance is a big thing. This is a big chance for me. My endeavor will be that I can redeem it well. Do not let it go. For this, I am going with my full preparation. So that when I get a chance, I can redeem it well.
Question- SRH has batters like Travis Head, Heinrich Klasson and Abhishek Sharma. Where do you see your place? On Finnish Position…. I think I can find a place at number 6-7. Because, my power hitting is good. I hit both spinners and pacers well.
Question- Tell us about the innings of 400+. Whenever it comes to a score of 400+, Lara’s name comes? – That innings was the turning point of my entire career. Because all the things around me changed during that innings. The great thing is that he was not going to play the match, because my form was not going well and I felt that I would not get a chance in playing-11. Then it was in my mind that not to be out today. I will play all day today. I went on playing and scored. I did not play much risky shots. I also showed patience.
Question- Who are the most inspirations. What do they like. – Virat Kohli. I like their introduction. They get out at zero or score 100 runs, but the introduction in the field is amazing. In fielding, they celebrate more than a bowler. I like many of his innings. I like his Melbourne’s innings the most.
