Soon 5 foreign universities will set up their campus in the city, which is considered to be the financial capital of the country. Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Saturday entrusted these universities to these universities. The course fee in the campus which is going to open in Mumbai will be less than 25% -30% than the fees for reading abroad.
‘Mumbai will be included in Global Knowledge Capitals’
Dharmendra Pradhan said that Mumbai is a city of dreams. This city is also known for its intelligence and entrepreneurship. There is a plan to create education in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra. This will not only make a better city in terms of Mumbai education, but will also be able to join Global Knowledge Capitals.
The Education Minister said, ‘With the formation of Mumbai, world class Future Ready Education Eco-System will be prepared. This will work to advance new ideas and talents by following the eco-system NEP 2020.
There is already a campus of foreign university in Gujarat
In the year 2023, the University Grants Commission ie UGC announced to set and run campuses under the Foreign Higher Educational Institutes in India Regulations.
Under this, the UK’s Southampton University is preparing to open its campus in India. At the same time, two universities of Australia- Dickin and Volongong, Gujarat International Finance Tech. She has already started her campus in City i.e. Gift City. Queen’s University, Belfast and Coventry University have also received approval for opening campus in GIFT City.
