A Japanese youth has arrived in Lucknow doing football. He drunk at Hazratganj intersection and promoted cleanliness and game. Japanese footballer Nojomu Hagihara (Nono) has started this journey inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s salt satyagraha.

At Hazratganj intersection, Nono balanced football in many ways while dragging football for about 15 minutes. He has reached Lucknow from Kolkata while drinking 1400 km football. He said for the people here- all are very vivacity human beings.

Came to India on agriculture project

He says- Football is not just a sport, but is a medium to teach discipline, teamwork and perseverance. His visit is inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s salt satyagraha. He broke the Guinness record of an Australian player’s 337 km of dragging in 2023. Its four times more target was reached by reaching Kanpur.

Nono said that he has received a lot of love from the people of India here. The people here are sociable and lively human beings. Culturally, this nation is very rich. India has been a glorious culture. India realizes the guest of Devo Bhava.
He says that after coming to India, some rural children appealed to learn football, after which this journey has started. On meeting UP DGP Prashant Kumar, he said that he had a great meeting.
Travel started from March 3
Under its unique mission to promote youth empowerment through football, a 2025 km football dragging from Kolkata to New Delhi is on a trip. In this extraordinary journey, he reached Kanpur and completed the 1400 km stop. His visit, began on 3 March 2025, will end on 15 May at the Japanese Embassy in New Delhi with a new Guinness Book of World Record.
