Started playing hockey at age 7 Sanjay Kaliravana was born on 5 May 2001 in Dabra village of Hisar, Haryana. Father Neki Ram is a farmer. Sanjay’s uncle’s son started training in hockey in 2008. Sanjay also started going with him. However, due to financial constraints, he could not buy hockey. Meanwhile, coach Rajendra Sihag’s eye on him. Seeing training, he recognized his ability and bought him hockey.
Hockey played in the village for 4 years, Chandigarh moves After this, Sanjay played hockey in village Dabra for 3 years. When his game started to glow, the coach advised him to move forward. Sanjay kept Chandigarh only after the coach’s advice. In 2011, he was selected to join the Chandigarh Hockey Academy, which laid the foundation of his future career in the game. After this, Sanjay stayed at Chandigarh Academy and improved his game.

The moment of his major success came in 2015 when he won his team by making a hat -trick in the final of the Fifth Sub Junior National Hockey Championship and made a mark across the country. Sanjay then captained the India Under-21 team at the School Asia Cup 2017, where his captaincy won the team in the final.
Junior Hockey became the highest goal in World Cup Sanjay then took responsibility for the vice-captain of the Indian team at the Buenos Aires Summer Youth Olympics. Sanjay won a silver medal for India in this competition. In the 2021 Junior Hockey World Cup, he became the highest goal with 8 goals. This performance further strengthened his position as a top contender in the Indian Senior Hockey Team.
Members of the team winning the bronze at the Paris Olympics Sanjay won several medals since his debut at the senior level in 2022. These include winning a gold medal in the 2023 Asian Games and the men’s Asian Champions Trophy. The Paris was a member of the Indian men’s hockey team in the Olympics 2024.
