1. Constitution now in Sanskrit and Maithili also: On the completion of 75 years of the country’s Constitution, a special program was held on 26 November in the Central Hall of the Old Parliament. During the event, President Draupadi Murmu released copies of the Constitution in Sanskrit and Maithili.

  • Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar is given the credit of being the creator of the Constitution as he was the Chairman of the Drafting Assembly of the Constituent Assembly.
  • Prem Bihari had written the original copy of the Constitution in English with his own hand.
  • The country’s first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru himself had requested calligrapher Prem Bihari to write the original copy of the Constitution. Prem Bihari not only accepted it but also refused to take fees in return.
  • It took Prem Bihari 6 months to write the Constitution by hand. During this period, 432 nibs of the pen were worn out.
  • Prem Bihari was given a room in the Constitution Hall, which later became the Constitution Club. The Constitution of India is the only one in the world in which painting has been done in every part.
  • It has pictures ranging from Ram-Sita to Akbar and Tipu Sultan. The team led by Nandlal Bose of Shanti Niketan decorated them with their art. Their names are also written in the original copy of the Constitution.
  • The Hindi copy of the Constitution has been handwritten by calligrapher Vasant Krishna Vaidya. Its paper is different. It has been made at Handmade Paper Research Centre, Pune.
  • The Hindi copy of the Constitution has 264 pages, which weighs 14 kg.

2. Modi Cabinet approved 4 projects including PAN 2.0: PAN 2.0 project was approved in the Modi cabinet meeting on 26 November. The government will spend Rs 1,435 crore for this. The cards will be advanced without changing the existing PAN number.

  • The new PAN cards will have QR code. For this, paperlane i.e. online process will be adopted.
  • People will not need to spend separately for PAN with QR code. The data will be completely safe in the new PAN.
  • A grievance referral system will be created to resolve any complaint, so that PAN card can be made a common business identifier.
  • Apart from this, the Union Cabinet meeting also approved three new railway projects, National Natural Farming Mission for farmers, ‘One Nation One Subscription’ for youth-students and Atal Innovation Mission 2.0.

IPS Rashmi Shukla again becomes DGP of Maharashtra: The Maharashtra government on November 25 reinstated IPS officer Rashmi Shukla as the state’s Director General of Police (DGP) and chief of the police force. Before the assembly elections, on the complaint of Congress, the Election Commission had directed to remove Rashmi Shukla from her post.

  • Rashmi Shukla was sent on compulsory leave on November 4, while senior IPS officer Sanjay Kumar Verma was appointed acting DGP in her place.
  • After the announcement of the election results and completion of the electoral process on November 23, the Election Commission announced the abolition of the code of conduct, after which on Monday, November 25, the state government canceled Shukla’s compulsory leave and allowed him to take charge as DGP.   • Deepam Seth is currently the senior most officer of Uttarakhand cadre.
  • Abhinav Kumar was made the acting Director General of Police after IPS officer Ashok Kumar retired from the post of Director General of Police.

26 नवंबर का इतिहास : आज से 16 साल पहले 2008 में आज ही के दिन मुंबई में आतंकी हमला हुआ था। भारत पर हुए इस सबसे बड़े आतंकी हमले को 26/11 के नाम से जानते हैं। इन हमलों ने मुंबई को 59 घंटे तक आतंकित किया था। इस हमले में 164 लोगों की मौत हुई थी, जबकि 300 से ज्यादा लोग घायल हो गए थे। मारे गए लोगों में भारतीय नागरिकों के अलावा कई विदेशी नागरिक भी थे।
