Bharat Thakur is a well -known yoga instructor of the country who is known worldwide as Yoga Guru, Spiritual Leader, Artist and Entrepreneur. He is also the founder of Artistic Yoga. In Artistic Yoga, the old techniques of yoga are associated with today’s lifestyle. It consists of strength, stamina, agency, balance and flagging.
Stay between the Himalayas for 10 years
Bharat Thakur was born into the family of landlords. His parents were not having children for a long time. In such a situation, he came to Guru Sukhdev Brahmachari to seek blessings. Guru Sukhdev placed a condition in front of him that he would bless him but will keep his first child with him for some time.
Bharat’s parents agreed and Bharat was born as his first child. After this, he had three more children. At the age of 4, Guru Sukhdev took Bharat Thakur with him in the middle of the Himalayas and taught Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Karma Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Pranayam, Asana and Meditation there. During this, he also read about Sufism, Jainism and Buddhaism. After about 10 years, the Guru-disciple returned.

Bharat Thakur has also taught Yoga to Salman Khan. During this, Salman Khan introduced him to his co-actress Bhumika Chawla of ‘Tere Naam’. Bhumika taught Yoga from Bharat a few days and then both became deep friendship. After dating for nearly four years, Bharat got married on 21 October 2007 in a gurdwara in Nashik. In February 2021, he had a son named Yash by the couple.
