1. PM Modi arrives in Canada to join ‘G7 Summit’

2. Para Powerlifting World Cup 2025 starts
The Para Powerlifting World Cup 2025 began on 17 June. This World Cup is being held in Beijing, the capital of China. The tournament will run till 25 June.
The 16 -member Indian Para Powerlifting Team is participating in this World Cup.
- The total 16 -member Indian team consists of 7 women and 9 male players.
- More than 134 athletes from all over the world are participating in the World Cup.
- This competition will provide ranking points for Los Angeles 2028 Paralympic Games.
3. 2,000 driving training schools will open across the country
The central government has decided to open 2,000 driving training schools across the country.
Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari gave this information.
- These schools will be opened especially in rural, backward and tribal areas of the country.
- Its purpose is to meet the shortage of 2.2 million skilled drivers as well as to create employment opportunities for the youth.
- Training will include light vehicles i.e. car and bike to heavy vehicles i.e. trucks and buses.
- Along with driving, emphasis will also be laid on road rules, traffic indicators and moral driving conducts.

1. Haryana Government canceled 5,600 police constable recruitment
The Haryana government has canceled the recruitment of 5,600 police constables. This recruitment was issued by Haryana Staff Selection Commission i.e. HSSC on 16 August 2024. Now this recruitment will start with new notifications after the new Common Eligibility Test (CET-2025).
Changes in the recruitment rules are being given the main reason behind this decision. Under this, 10 times the candidates will now be shortlisted for the Retan exam.
The recruitment included the posts of 4,000 men constables, 600 female constables and 1000 men’s Indian Reserve Battalion Constable. The application process lasted from 10 September to 24 September 2024.
2. IBPS released revised exam calendar
The Institute of Banking Personal Selection i.e. IBPS released revised exam calendar for the year 2025-26. Candidates can check the revised exam calendar of IBPS by visiting the official website ibps.in.
Revised Calendar 2025-26 has given a new schedule of various bank recruitment exams like Probationary Officer (PO), Specialist Officer (SO), Clerk (Customer Service Associate-CSA) and Regional Rural Bank (RRB). The PO’s prelims exam will be held on 17, 23 and 24 August. At the same time, the SO examination has been scheduled on 3 August.
