1. PM Modi received the highest honor of Cyprus
On 16 June, Prime Minister Narendra Modi received Cyprus’s highest honor ‘Grand Cross of the Order of Makaros III’.
Cyprus President Nicos Christodolidase honored PM Modi with the highest honor.
- So far 21 countries have honored the Prime Minister with their highest honor.
- Modi is the third Indian Prime Minister to visit Cyprus.
- Earlier in 1983, Indira Gandhi and Atal Bihari Vajpayee visited this country in 2002.
2. Notification issued for ethnic census
On 16 June, the Ministry of Home Affairs has issued a notification for ethnic census.
The central government will conduct ethnic census in two phases.
- According to the notification, the first phase will start from 1 October 2026.
- The first phase will have 4 hill states- Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh will be census.
- At the same time, the second phase will start from March 1, 2027.
- In the second phase, census will begin in the rest of the states of the country.
- The Center announced to conduct ethnic census on 30 April 2025.
3. Women’s World Cup 2025 schedule released
On 16 June, the International Cricket Council i.e. ICC released a schedule of Women’s World Cup 2025.
The ICC tweeted on X (X) and released the entire schedule of Women’s World Cup 2025.
- India is going to host the Women’s World Cup after 12 years.
- Earlier in 2013, India had a Women’s World Cup.
- The Women’s World Cup 2025 will start on 30 September.
- All matches of the tournament will be played in 4 cities of India- Bangalore, Indore, Guwahati, Visakhapatnam and Colombo in Sri Lanka.
- The first semi -finals will take place on 29 October in Guwahati or Colombo (dependent on Pakistan’s arrival) and the second semi -finals in Bengaluru on 30 October.
- The final will be played on 2 November in Bengaluru or Colombo.

Housing Finance Limited of Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has recruited 250 posts of Apprenticeship. Candidates can fill the form by visiting the portal nats.education.gov.in of NATS. The exam for this recruitment will be on 3 July 2025. This apprenticeship will be for one year.
Educational qualification:
Graduation degree in any stream from a recognized university/ institute.
Edge Limit:
- Minimum: 20 years
- Maximum: 25 years
- Maximum age will be given to reserved category candidates.
- The age will be calculated keeping in mind on 1 June 2025.
Fees:
- General, OBC: Rs 944

2. Recruitment to 135 posts of Danger Building Worker in Ordnance Factory
Ordnance Factory, Chanda has recruited 135 posts of Tenure Based Danger Building Worker (DBW). This appointment will be made on contract basis which will be initially for one year. This can be extended up to four years on the basis of need and performance. Candidates will have to apply offline for this recruitment.
Educational qualification:
- National Council for Vocational Training (NCVT) should be obtained from the National Apprenticeship Certificate. AOCP (Attendant Operator Chemical Plant) has been recognized as a main trade.
- Feeder trades such as Fitter General, Mechanist, Turner, Sheet Metal Worker, Electrician, Electronic Mechanic, Boiler Attendant, Mechanic Industrial Electronics, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning mechanic can apply in one of the NAC Certificate holders in one of the trades.
Edge Limit:
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years
- Reserve class and ex -servicemen will be given age discounts according to recognized rules.

Salary:
- 19900 rupees per month + DA

1. UPSC CSE Main Registration started
Registration of Union Public Service Commission i.e. UPSC Civil Service Mains Examination started from today. Candidates qualifying prelims can apply by visiting UPSC’s official website upsc.gov.in.
The application window will remain open till June 25, 2025. Earlier on 11 June, UPSC released a list of 14,161 candidates who cleared the Prelims Examination.
2. Rajasthan Board toppers will be traveled by airplane
19 toppers of both 10th and 12th of Rajasthan Board will be traveled by airplanes. He will be taken to Mumbai and will be rolled there for 3 days at historical and entertaining places.
The Department of Education of Rajasthan tweeted and informed about this.
Bhamashah Mohan Lal Rataji Mali of Jalore Palentherpist Bhamashah Mohan Lal Rataji is doing this journey. These children will leave for Mumbai on August 10 by airplane.
