1. South Korea’s President to become ‘Li J-Mung’ of Liberal Party
On June 3, South Korea’s presidential election was won by Liberal Democratic Party of Korea (DPK) candidate Li J-Mung in 2025. In the election, Lee defeated the ruling People Power Party (PPP) candidate Kim Moon Su-Su.
Li J-Mung won the election with 49.42% of the votes.
- In fact, in December 2024, former President Un Units Yolle tried to implement martial law, after which impeachment was brought against him.
- Due to this, he was removed from the presidency on 4 April 2025.
- According to the Constitution of South Korea, elections have to be held within 60 days of the removal of the President.
- The President was elected on 3 June.
2. RCB won the IPL title for the first time
On June 3, the Indian Premier League i.e. IPL 2025 got the new champion. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) defeated Punjab Kings by 6 runs and won the title of the 18th season.
RCB won the IPL title for the first time.
- Krunal Pandya received the Player of the Match Award.
- Sai Sudarshan of Gujarat Titans, who scored the highest 759 runs in the season, received the Orange Cap.
- At the same time, the famous Krishna Titans, who took the highest 25 wickets, got the purple cap.
- The 14 -year -old Vaibhav Suryavanshi Suryavanshi of Rajasthan Royals was elected.
- Nicholas Puran of Lucknow Super Giants received the Most Six Hitter Award.
- Suryakumar Yadav of Mumbai Indians was the Most Valuable Player of the Tournament.

Edge Limit:
- According to the post, a maximum of 43 to 62 years.

1. JNU will now have ‘Vice Chancellor’ instead of ‘Vice Chancellor’
Jawaharlal Nehru University i.e. JNU will now have ‘Kulguru’ instead of ‘Vice Chancellor’. The University Administration has decided to ‘Kulguru’ instead of Vice Chancellor’s Hindi name ‘Vice Chancellor’.
This decision has been taken to make the post of Vice Chancellor to make ‘Gender Neutral’. This information was given during the meeting of JNU Working Council.
The change of name was suggested by JNU Vice Chancellor Pantishree Dhulipudi Pandit.
Now ‘Vice Chancellor’ will be used in the degree and other academic documents.
2. NEET PG exam can be held on August 3
The National Board of Examination ie NBE has proposed 3 August date for NEET PG exam. This date will be final after approval of the Supreme Court.
The exam was to be held on 15 June which was posted. In fact, the Supreme Court had directed NBE to conduct an examination in the same shift, which was also allowed to take time for preparation. Due to this, NBE posted the exam on 2 June.
