Indian Air Force (IAF) has released the notification of Air Force Common Admission Test (AFCAT). Under this, 284 posts of commissioned officer will be recruited in Indian Air Force. Candidates can apply by visiting the official website Afcat.cdac.in. This course will start in July 2026.
Vacancy Details:
- Flying: 3 posts
- Ground Duty (Technical): 156 posts
- Ground Duty (Non -Technical): 125 posts
Educational qualification:
Flying Branch (AFCAT and NCC Entry):
- 12th (with Physics and Maths) passed with at least 50% marks
- Graduation with 60% marks (in any subject) or
- BE/B.Tech with 60% marks. Degree of
Ground Duty (Technical):
- 12th (with Physics and Maths) passed with at least 50% marks
- Four year degree in engineering/technology.
Ground duty (non-technical):
Graduation degree in the respective field with minimum 60% marks
Edge Limit:
- Flying Branch: 20 – 24 years
- Between 2 July 2002 to 1 July 2006
- Ground Duty (Technical/Non -Technical): 20 – 26 years
- Born between 2 July 2000 to 1 July 2006
- Age relaxation will be given according to government rules.
Fees:
- AFCAT Entry: GST with 550
- NCC Special Entry: Free
Salary:
56,100 – Rs 1,77,500 per month
Selection Process:
- Riten Examination (for AFCAT candidates)
- AFSB interview
- Medical test
- Final merit list released
