Sri Lankan all -rounder Angelo Mathews has retired from Test cricket. He announced his retirement on social media on Friday. Mathews wrote- ‘The first Test against Bangladesh in June will be the last Test of my career, which will be played in Gaul from 17 to 21 June. If my country needs me, I will be available for white-ball selection. ‘ Mathews has not been selected in Sri Lanka’s white-ball team for almost a year.

37 -year -old Mathews made his Test debut in 2009 and played 118 Tests. In his Test career nearly 16 years long, Mathews has performed well not only with the bat, but also his captaincy.
