A stand of Wankhede Stadium has been named after Indian ODI captain Rohit Sharma. It is a level-3 stand, earlier known as Divecha Pavilion. Rohit’s father Gurunath Sharma and mother Purnima Sharma inaugurated the stand on Friday.
On this occasion, Indian ODI team captain Rohit said- I never thought in my dream. It is a special feeling for me to have your name among the great players of the game. Rohit was accompanied by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and National Congress Party Chief (NCP) Sharad Pawar. Rohit Sharma retired from Test cricket on 7 May. He shared the story on his Instagram account and gave information about retirement.

I am thankful to so many people, especially my family, my mother and father, my brother, his wife and my wife, who are present here, who are present here. I also thank my special team, Mumbai Indians.
