Mike Hessen has previously been the head coach of RCB’s Mains and Women’s Team.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has appointed Mike Hessen as the new white-ball coach of Pakistan. Hessen has become the head coach of ODI and T20. Mike of New Zealand will take over from May 26. However, PCB did not give information about his contract.
Royal Challengers in 50-year-old Hessen IPL have been the head coach in 2019-23 in Bangalore. Till 2012-18, he was also the coach of the team team in New Zealand. Currently, Hessen was coaching Islamabad United in the Pakistan Super League (PSL). Islamabad was the winner of United PSL 2024.

Aqib Javed High-Parliamentary Director
Pakistan’s interim coach Aqib Javed has been appointed by the board as High-Parliamentary Director. Javed will be an important part of the Pakistan selectors team.

Bangladeshi will take responsibility from series
Hessen’s first task as Pakistan’s coach will be the upcoming T20 series against Bangladesh. The match date will change due to the PSL relationship of the series starting on May 25.
Hessen Aqib will replace Javed, who worked as an interim white-ball coach after Gary Kirsten’s sudden resignation in October 2024. PCB made Kirsten a coach for 2 years in April 2024. But within 6 months he resigned.

Pakistan’s poor performance in T20 World Cup and Champions Trophy
