Shivalik Sharma, former cricketer of the Indian Premier League (IPL) Mumbai Indians team, was arrested by the Jodhpur police in the rape case. It is alleged that the cricketer had a physical relationship with the woman after the engagement and later refused to marry.

The woman alleged that Shivalik threatened her that she would ruin if told to anyone. His family had given Rs 5 lakh cash in the engagement with spending 15-20 lakhs. After investigating the case, the police arrested the accused and produced it in the court on Sunday, from where he was sent to judicial custody.
The former player of Mumbai Indians was sent to jail by the court on charges of rape.

On 28 June, again came to Jodhpur and forced him.
3. Threatened someone, I will ruin if I told someone The victim told that she was called to Vadodara on 10 August to discuss the marriage. There Shivalik’s parents heard me well and said that now his son has become a cricketer, many relationships are coming for him. Pushed and driven away and refused to marry on the phone. Shivalik threatened that if I told someone, I will ruin it.
Shivalik was bought by Mumbai Indians in 2024 for Rs 20 lakh. Before the 2025 season, Mumbai Indians released Shivalik.
