Finally, the school of Rancho with three Idiets has been recognized by the CBSE Board. Ladakh’s Druk Padma Carpo School was started about 20 years ago. But the CBSE board repeatedly rejected the demand for recognition for the school.
Aamir Khan’s 2009 film ‘Three Idiets’, the school, was still affiliated to the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of School Education.
CBSE Board stopped recognition due to non-availability of NOC from Jammu and Kashmir Board.
This school will be soon up to 12th
This school in Ladakh is known for teaching innovative teaching methods. This school has already been separated from book studies before the National Education Polysi 2020. The school is now considering expanding till 12th.
School Principal Mingoor Angamo said, ‘After many years of waiting, we have finally got the recognition of the CBSE board and our first batch board of class 10 is ready to give exams. We have excellent infrastructure, good results come and in new way our teachers teach students. Despite this, we were not getting NOC from the State Board, due to which the CBSE board could not get recognition.
Indeed, according to the rules of the CBSE Board’s Effiliation, schools have to take a no objection certificate ie NOC from their Respective State Board. Similarly, foreign schools have to take this certificate from their ambassador.
Angmo said, ‘Infrastructure has already been expanded. By 2028, we will also be able to start 11th and 12th classes. At present, we are training teachers so that they do not have any problem in teaching according to CBSE Curriculum.
Even after Ladakh’s separation from Jammu and Kashmir, many schools remained affiliated to the Jammu and Kashmir Board. Keeping in mind the needs of students of Ladakh, there is talk of forming a committee.

School was famous with three idiot
The 24 -year -old school is named after Meepha Pema Carpo. Carpo has been a famous scholar of the region. At the same time, Padma Carpo means white lotus in local language.
