The current affairs of April 2, 2025 for the RO/ARO, Patwari and TET’s single day exams to be held in Uttar Pradesh.
1. Start of Communicable Disease Control Campaign: From April 1, the statewide communicable disease i.e. Communicable Disease Control Campaign started in Uttar Pradesh.
Under the communicable disease control campaign, people will be made aware about many other communicable diseases and its prevention.
- This campaign has started under the National Health Mission of the Health Department.
- During this campaign, there will also be emphasis on identifying communicable diseases like Kala-azar, dengue, malaria, brain fever, TB, leprosy and filariasis.
- Under this campaign, Dastak Abhiyan will be launched from 10 to 30 April, in which Asha and Anganwadi workers will go door-to-door and make people aware.

2. Naxalism reduced the number of highly affected districts to 6: The number of districts affected by leftist extremism or Naxalism in India has come down from 12 to 6.
On 1 April, Union Home Minister Amit Shah gave a job of number of districts affected by Naxalism.
- The 6 districts include 4 districts of Chhattisgarh (Bijapur, Kanker, Narayanpur and Sukma), 1 (West Singhbhum) of Jharkhand and 1 district (Gadchiroli) of Maharashtra.
- The Government of India offers financial support of Rs 30 crore to the left -affected districts of leftist extremism under special central assistance (SCA).
- The Government of India has targeted to eliminate Naxalism from 31 March 2026.
3. Integrated Pension Scheme (UPS) implemented for government employees: The Integrated Pension Scheme (UPS) has been implemented for employees of the Government of India from 1 April.
The Integrated Pension Scheme has been implemented as an option under the National Pension System (NPS).
- Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) is the nodal agency for its implementation.
- About 23 lakh employees are expected to benefit from this scheme.
- The UPS provides 50% of the average basic salary received in the last 12 months before retired, provided the employee has completed the minimum 25 years of service.
- This scheme also guarantees a minimum pension of Rs 10,000 per month for those who complete the service of at least 10 years.
4. The 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India was celebrated: The 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Reserve Bank of India was celebrated on 1 April.
President Draupadi Murmu was the chief guest of this Foundation Day celebrations.
- The Reserve Bank of India was established on 1 April 1935 as per the provisions of the Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934.
- Initially, the Central Office of the Reserve Bank was in Kolkata, in 1937 it was permanently shifted to Mumbai.
- Sanjay Malhotra is the current Governor of the Reserve Bank of India.
5. Army Commanders Conference started in New Delhi: A conference of Army Commanders is being held in New Delhi from 1 to 4 April.
Union Defense Minister Rajnath Singh (in the middle) is presiding over the conference of army commanders.
- This conference serves as a platform to review and assess the overall security status as well as to deal with emerging challenges.

6. ‘Tiger Triumph-2025’ war exercise began: The war exercise Tiger Triumph-2025 is being conducted from 1 to 13 April.
This time Tiger Triumph is the fourth version of the Joint military war exercise.
- This is a bilateral joint military exercise between India and the US.
- ‘Tiger Triumph’ exercise will take place in two stages. The first phase is being held in Visakhapatnam. It is being called a harbor phase.
- After this the second phase will begin, in which practice will be done on the sea and the ground, which will be near Kakinada.
- The purpose of this war exercise is to develop humanitarian aid and ability to conduct disaster relief activities.
7. President of Chile reached India on a 5 -day journey: From 1 to 5 April, Chile President Gabriel Borik Font is on his official visit to India.
This is Borik (left )’s first visit to India as President.
- In this tour, Chile’s President will go to Agra, Mumbai and Bengaluru besides Delhi.
- This is a visit to India after 16 years of a President of Chile.
- On 1 April, the joint statement of Chile’s President and Prime Minister Narendra Modi agreed to start dialogue on the free trade agreement between Peru and India.
- Chile is the largest producer of Lithium in the world.
