Former Australian batsman Stuart Law has been elected the head coach of the Nepal men’s cricket team for the next 2 years. Nepal Cricket Association has given this information. Before the law, Indian origin Monty Desai was the coach of the Nepal team. His term was completed in February this year.

Law has previously worked with many international teams. He recently played the lead role in winning the T20 series against Bangladesh to the USA men’s team. Under his leadership, the USA also made it to the Super Eight of the 2024 T20 World Cup. Stuart Law has played 54 ODIs and 1 Test for Australia and scored 1291 runs.

Stuart, who was the coach of West Indies and Bangladesh

Stuart Law has been the head coach of Bangladesh in 2011-12 and West Indies in 2018-19. In 2011, Stuart also gave Temperary coaching to Sri Lanka and Afghanistan in 2022. At the same time, Law also gave coaching to Australia’s national team and the under-19 team. He was his batting coach.

Stuart Law gave coaching to Bangladesh cricket team in 2012. In his coaching, Bangladesh team reached the Asia Cup final for the first time.

Stuart Law has played 54 ODIs and 1 Test for Australia.

Nepal played the first Asia Cup in Monty’s coaching

Under the leadership of former coach Monty Desai, Nepal had recorded its second presence in the 2024 T20 World Cup. At the same time, the team defeated USA 3–0 in T20 International. The team defeated Canada 3–0 in the ODI series at home ground. Nepal also played its first Asia Cup before the ODI World Cup in 2023. He did not win a single match in it.

Nepal in second low in World Cup list

Nepal will play a triangular series against Scotland and Netherlands in June this year in Scotland. This series will be part of the World Cup League-2 matches. This will be the first assignment of law for the Nepal team. Nepal is currently at the lowest position in the World Cup list.
